EU expert group (EGGSIE)  

 

EGGSIE is a network of experts in the fields of employment, social inclusion and gender equality issues. The network undertakes an annual programme of policy-oriented research and reports to the directorate-general for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal opportunities. The network comprises 30 national experts (25 member states plus Bulgaria, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Romania) plus a coordinating team. All of the experts are academics, drawn mainly from economics, sociology and management but also from other disciplines.  The network is coordinated through the European Work and Employment Research Centre at Manchester Business School.
